A Texas program provided technical assistance to local public health and planning professionals to implement built environment changes that promote physical activity, such as improving active transportation infrastructure. This approach helped communities overcome barriers, foster collaboration, and build capacity to create environments that make walking, biking, and other physical activities easier and more accessible. Such changes can effectively increase physical activity levels, supporting cardiovascular health and chronic disease prevention in everyday life.
